For Shopify stores
Your store works.
It just looks rented.
Most brands that talk to us already sell on Shopify. Nothing is broken. The platform is excellent. But three quiet taxes stack up every month, and none of them appear on the invoice.
The subscription stack
The plan is the entry fee. Reviews app, bundle app, popup app, loyalty app. Malaysian stores routinely reach RM 300 to RM 500 a month before selling one unit, and the total quietly beats a custom build inside two years.
The sameness tax
Themes ship by the thousand, so your customer has already seen your layout wearing someone else's logo. For products sold on story and feeling, looking familiar means looking forgettable, and forgettable does not convert.
The ownership gap
Stop paying and the store stops existing. A rented storefront is a costume, not an asset. A custom store is code, content and data you hold outright, and it appears on your balance sheet, not your expenses.
Beyond the bills
What rent money cannot buy.
Twice the conversion
A page that loads in one second converts roughly twice as well as one that takes four. No app bloat, so the whole store moves at thumb speed.
Free Google traffic
Hand written pages with clean structure and real content rank. Templated stores rarely do, so they pay for every visitor, forever.
Engagement that sells
A store that looks like yours alone holds attention: quizzes, stories and pages people actually read, then talk about.
The honest math
Three years, side by side.
| What you pay | Theme store | Valipen custom |
|---|---|---|
| Platform | RM 150 to 190 monthly | RM 0, self hosted |
| Apps | RM 150 to 350 monthly | RM 0, written in |
| Theme | RM 800 to 1,800, shared | Included, yours alone |
| Features | Only what the app store sells | Anything we can write |
| 3 year total | RM 11,000 to 20,000, own nothing | From RM 3,900, own it all |

Fair is fair
When you should stay on Shopify.
We would rather lose a sale than give bad advice. Stay where you are if any of these is true:
The move
You keep selling.
We do the heavy lifting.
Your Shopify stays live
Nothing is touched. The new store grows on a private staging link while your current one keeps taking orders.
Products, customers and reviews move over
Catalogue, images, customer list and order history are exported and rebuilt. Nothing is retyped, nothing is lost.
The switch happens in one evening
Domain points to the new store, every old URL redirects to its twin, search rankings carry over. Morning traffic never notices.
The subscriptions end
Cancel the plan and the app stack. From that month on, the money that rented software builds your brand instead.
The safety net
If the new store does not feel like an upgrade within 30 days, we point your domain back to Shopify. Free, no questions.
your old store is never deleted during the trial month · you lose nothing by looking · the build fee pays for the build, and the build stays yours either way: flipping back costs nothing and takes nothing away
Asked every week
The questions store owners actually ask.
Is it risky to move off Shopify?
Not the way we do it. Your Shopify store stays live and untouched while the new one is built in parallel on a private link. The switch is a domain flip after closing time, and the old store sits intact for 30 days after launch. Want it back? We flip the switch back, free.
What happens to my products, customers and order history?
Everything is exported and rebuilt: catalogue, images, customer list, order history, reviews. Nothing is retyped, nothing is lost, and every old URL redirects to its twin so your Google rankings carry over.
What do I stop paying?
The monthly plan and the app stack. Stores we audit typically pay RM 300 to RM 500 a month before selling a single unit. After the switch that becomes hosting you control, usually under RM 30 a month, plus a care plan only if you want us around.
How long does it take?
Four to six weeks for a typical SME store, and your current store keeps selling the whole time. There is no revenue gap, because there is no downtime.
And if I should just stay on Shopify?
Then the review will say exactly that, in writing. We build and run stores daily; bad advice would cost us more than a lost project.
Can the payment be split?
Yes. A deposit books the slot, and the balance can split into three monthly payments after the site is standing.
